The Maze has been made as a place for kids (and big kids!) to play in safety. The objective is to reach the apple tree in the top left hand corner without jumping over any spaces! The tree is a Queen Cox apple - a rather special variety introduced into cultivation by Gordon Maclean who owned the land for nearly 50 years. Here, he and his family grew apples and pears during that time, making Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor famous as a fruit growing area. |

The Maze has been constructed by laying paving slabs into grass, a more modern version of the hedge maze. This type of maze is safe for small children and will take less time to maintain than a tradition box hedge maze. |
